Employees of the Parliamentary Budget Office participated in the ECPRD webinar (European Centre for Parliamentary Research and Documentation) on “Participation of parliaments in the implementation of national recovery and resilience plans”, organized by the House of Representatives and the Italian Senate, in cooperation with the Unit for support to economic governance (EGOV) of the European Parliament.

During the webinar, attendees had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with further steps as regards the implementation of plans for recovery and resilience of national economies, in response to challenges that emerged in the previous period and reports on the implementation of the plans concerned. The assessment of macroeconomic impact on future generations and the findings of the survey of national parliaments with respect to the involvement of parliament in the implementation of national recovery and resilience plans, as well as challenges encountered during their implementation have also been discussed. The inflation rate growth, the gross domestic product growth rate, measures for overcoming economic challenges caused by the events in the previous period, as well as their impact on financial stability in the long run were discussed.

The webinar aimed to promote the exchange of information on the manner in which parliaments organize their activities and perform their functions, while monitoring the implementation of plans.
